Pacific Storm I
Pacific Storm I was, as with these trips a 'spur of the moment'
idea. Dominic, my dive buddy was working out in Australia and New
Zealand and he had e-mailed me with an idea!
A few weeks later I had booked my flights with Air New Zealand:
- London to Tonga
- Fiji to Vanuatu
- Vanuatu to Fiji
- Fiji to New Zealand
- New Zealand to Tonga
- Tonga to Tahiti
- Tahiti to Bora Bora
- Bora Bora to Tahiti
- Tahiti to London
I left London's Heathrow airport on Wednesday 23rd of October 2003
and flew out to Los Angeles with Air New Zealand. The flight was
pretty uneventful, and having done a days work back in the UK I managed
to sleep most of the way. I had a couple of hours stop-over in LA,
before hopping on another flight down to Fiji.
I met up with Dominic
at the airport in Fiji, something two days after I left the UK due
to crossing the date line! It took me about 24 hours to fully recover
from the flight before heading off to Vanuatu.
